Between the church and the granary, we developed a spatial cascade that forms the “heart” of the school. Whoever circulates here, whether students or teachers, looks either across the school garden at the church tower or at the tiled roof of the granary. In keeping with a holistic organism, the cascade of access routes becomes the rhythmic carrier of the volume composition itself and shapes the internal organization as well as the external appearance of this part of the object into a coherent overall picture.
BRG An den Eisteichen
The project spans two axes that are orthogonal to each other: on the one hand, the “visual axis” from the church on Khleslplatz to the so-called Schüttkasten, and on the other hand, the “functional axis” between An den Eisteichen and the subway line.

This concentration along the railway line allowed for the significant design of the configuration, which recedes far from the ensemble around Khleslplatz or steps down towards it, and which includes the clusters of secondary level I, the departments of secondary level II, and the general areas.
The facades are clearly characterized by the building's greenery and planting. The school garden continues, so to speak, on the terraces of the upper floors via the staggered floor layers. Plant troughs are positioned in a calculated alternation with transparent balustrades at the edges of the ceilings so that both can be experienced from the classrooms: the immediate greenery outside the windows or the unobstructed view into the distance.
